I’m finally back from a week in D.C.. I am stopping this morning, however, to have a cup of coffee, adjust to the time zone and get organized. Thank you all for your sweet comments and well wishes. I just had a sore back and although it’s not 100% I am feeling much better. My car is also feeling and looking much better too!
D.C. was bitter sweet as always. The more I spend time with the bf the harder it is to say goodbye. It has become especially difficult now know he is leaving for Iraq in a few months. We are thinking about taking a tropical holiday at Christmas time to just enjoy beach, sand and lots of frosty cocktails oozing fruit and umbrellas. I am thinking about Cabo or Hawaii, any suggestions?
As far as fashion goes…as soon as I get organized I will be back to my normal fashion inspired posts. We have been having that crazy heat wave I thought we might not get. It’s broken 100 degrees this week in Los Angeles which really makes the thought of getting dressed unappealing! The thought of fall fashion is certainly miles away!

One of those weeks…day dreaming about being back in Paris, sipping espresso or better yet, a glass of red wine, in a cafe, people watching…relaxing…(sigh)
Got in a car accident (some asshole rear-ended me) so I’ve been a little out of commision. I’m ok, just sore…flew to DC yesterday where I will be for the next week getting some TLC from the bf.

Sometimes you just don’t feel like getting all dolled up. For me it is always evident if I am wearing flats. Today was one of those days.
This vest was formally a jacket that I’ve had and hadn’t worn for years. I finally decided it was time to let it go when I got the idea to convert it into a vest. I like that it has military details but the color is unexpected. It added just a little interest to my plain old jeans and T.
