I have told you guys (about 1000 times) that my BF is going to the depths of hell Iraq. 
I promise as soon as he leaves I will stop thinking talking about it! He’s been training in El Paso since the end of January and starting Sunday he has a break before he actually goes over seas. He was absolutely opposed to being in El Paso for his last few days of fun so we decided to meet in Scottsdale, AZ. It’s a quick flight for both of us (ok, so it’s not really a road trip) it’s warm and there’s great nightlife.

I am SO excited. I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve seen him (I know, I better get used to it…) But on to the real issue: My Wardrobe!
I checked the weather and it seems to be warm during the day and cold at night so I will definitely need layers. I need fun carefree outfits for day and sexy outfits for night that will hopefully all fit in a carry on suitcase.
I started to put things together and here’s how it’s looking.

Awhile back I helped a friend clean out her closet and in the process ended up going home with a bag of stuff (score!). This blazer is one of those items that I just fell in love with (even sweeter score!)
I love the diamond encrusted shoulder adorned with chains that twist, wrap and hang. I also love that it’s softened by the tweed texture and playful with the sparkly numbers.
I was serious when I said I was having a blazer moment…

I told you guys last week about Mel and my adventures at Crossroads Trading Company. We loved it so much we decided to do it again but this time we went prepared! I went through my closet and pulled items that either no longer fit or I hadn’t worn in awhile (honestly if I haven’t worn it in a year am I gonna wear it?), packed them in a bag (ok two!), Mel did the same and off we went!
My trades earned me $80 in new stuff! Here are a few pics.

I loved this skirt, but ended up getting a few other things instead. (Got to be honest, I’m kind of kicking myself for letting this one go. I wonder if it’s still there…?)

At the end of such a rigorous shopping day we stopped for ice coffee’s. Mel and I apparently got the dark jean-black top-brown leather accent – leopard accessory memo!

We are coming to the end of February which means spring is around the corner! I am getting excited at the prospect of packing up my sweaters and boots (they served me well) and pulling out my fun and airy wardrobe. There are so many runway must haves for the upcoming season but here are a few practical pieces that are on my list.
