So I went to Boston for a week. Saw the family, friends, helped take care of my 2 year old nephew. I had fun but it’s always bitter sweet. I love going home periodically but thankfully I get to leave.
Sticking to fashion as the topic, for some reason the city of Boston is a little behind. (perhaps we should stage an intervention?)
I went out to a bar with a few girlfriends to watch the Bruins game (that’s hockey for all you non-sports lovers and it’s the playoffs so in Boston that’s a pretty big deal.) I had on my American Apparel turband, white tee, black jeans, denim jacket and my cut out wedge/pumps (see above pic) Apparently the turband hasn’t hit Boston yet and is still considered fashion forward because my friends could not figure out ‘What the heck’ was on my head and said I looked like ‘Aunt Jamima.’ Hilarious.
Although most people were drooling over these I still got my balls busted over how high they are…
A trip highlight was having lunch with one of my readers. I had never met Anna but she is married to someone I went to grade school with (crazy right?) So sweet and yet another thing to add to the list of why I love blogging
Sometimes people still ask when I’m moving back (I’ve been gone 9 years…I think its fairly obvious) The only thing is…now I have a nephew. And he’s 2. And he’s awesome. And I’m kind of in love…
So I finally got around to styling some of my Crossroads finds I shared with you here. This top and skirt inspired me to pull out this Vintage Naval blazer I scored on ebay a few years ago. This outfit is so festive it reminds me of the fourth of July. A little early for that yet but I sure wouldn’t mind the weather! (If you build it, it will come??)

Yes. Yes I did.
To me, from me: with love (cause sometimes you just need to appreciate yourself!)
I’m off to Boston for an impromptu visit! I am excited to see my friends and family who I only get to see once or twice a year. Rare does anyone make the trek to LA- you know who you are!
I have a pretty full itinerary so coordinating my wardrobe ahead of time is key. Being that it’s May I decided I need color, color and more color! Hopefully the temperamental New England weather will cooperate. Here’s a sneak peak of what I started to put together… (and don’t worry I will be posting while I’m gone
)
With showers in the morning and the sun in the afternoon, this weather personality disorder here in LA has been making it difficult to get dressed! I decided to be comfy in black skinnies and white tee but to pull it together I added this super soft blazer and my favorite wedge cutout pumps. Warm weather where are you??
I can’t stop wearing my Towne & Reese jewelry! Aren’t these earrings FAB?
