So the half way point of the bf’s deployment in Iraq is almost here and I am super excited to spend 2 whole weeks with him on the east coast. It’s been 5 months (can you believe it?!) and I can’t believe that I have gone that long without kissing his face. Ok too much sappiness I know, but cut me a break, the boy’s been at war.
The biggest stressor for me right now is what I am packing…1 week I can handle, but 2? I am having to perform magic tricks trying to make the shoes I am bringing match all of the outfits, bags and jewelry…
Well I couldn’t begin to take pictures of it all and honestly you don’t want to see the state things are in now anyway trust me! So instead I decide to snap a few pics of some items that will definitely be coming with me…
New pair of Charles David go with everything wedges that I bought in order to cut down on the 9 pairs of shoes I was originally packing…now I am down to 5

Beach read which is usually chic-lit but this time I decided on this Kathy Griffin book because honestly, she’s freakin hilarious and I am gonna need all the humor I can get especially when I have to say goodbye to him for another 6 months 
I don’t have a patio, I have a teeny tiny porch with a two top table and chairs. But this is my little outdoor corner in the world and I wanna make it more cozy. So I am gonna give it a face lift and this is my inspiration…

When a package arrives at your door containing sparkly baubles, it pretty much feels like Christmas morning. For the past several months 90% of my outfit posts have contained a piece of jewelry from Towne & Reese. If you haven’t checked them out I highly suggest you do!

I have a crazy busy weekend/week ahead of me. The countdown to the bf coming home on leave from Iraq has commenced and I have so much to do. I am headed to the east coast for 2 1/2 weeks! I am excited it’s finally close (I haven’t seen him since March!) but packing for that amount of time is giving me anxiety. My to do list seems never ending, however the thought of sitting on the beach with not a care in the world is getting me through. Happy Friday!
