This is the second look in this month’s style series featuring this sequin blazer. (You can see the first look here.) I decided on another skirt, this one being a bright blue. When I saw it I loved it so much I got it in pink too. And being the leopard addict I am, I managed to work some of that in as well. Maybe this blog should’ve been entitled ‘The stripe and leopard addict.’

Ever have one of those nights when you let loose and have a few too many drinks?  It’s rare but when it happens the last thing I want is do the next day is wake up and have to look fabulous. Well I fell into that situation yesterday. I had a lot of fun at a girlfriend’s celebration Saturday night and Sunday had to be in downtown Los Angeles for a fashion event (which is even more pressure to look put together!) I had this whole outfit planned that included a skirt but the way I felt, it wasn’t going to happen. Instead I chose a minimalist look with this amazing light gray cascading blazer. It’s one of those no effort required outfit makers and I couldn’t think of a better opportunity to put it to work.

The monthly outfit challenges I’ve been doing have really forced me to examine my wardrobe. There are many things in my closet that have been sitting there getting no love. We all do it, buy things and then let them sit unworn for long periods of time. These shoes were one of those things. I bought them 3 years ago and I’ve worn them maybe twice. Yes, I said twice. Then the other night while watching an episode of Sex and the City I got an idea. I went to my closet grabbed these shoes, a pair of scissors and glue and began cutting. Here’s the result!
