Affordable Holiday Party Makeup

This post is sponsored by Target, but all opinions are ALWAYS my own. Thank you for supporting the amazing brands that make Glam Latte possible!

I love this holiday season, I mean who doesn’t right? One of my favorite things, aside from holiday fashion, is holiday beauty. Much like with fashion, it’s a great time to add sparkle, shimmer and glitter and really play with makeup.

I’ve been working on a few different beauty looks for you guys to provide some inspiration. So far I’ve come up with two, but I wanted to do one that could be achieved primarily using drugstore products. (Stay tuned for all the looks coming soon!) I decided to head over to Target and pick the brain of the Beauty Concierge.

If you haven’t heard of Target’s Beauty Concierge program, it’s really cool actually. They have a highly trained beauty enthusiast who is there to provide tips, answer questions, offer suggestions and recommendations as well as helpful how to’s!  The beauty aisle can be intimidating so it’s pretty cool that they have a knowledgable resource there that can help.

When I got to there initially I just perused the aisles checking out different brands and trying to get ideas. The Beauty Concierge actually came over and asked me if I needed help. I told her I was looking to create a holiday look for you guys, but I wanted to use affordable products. I wanted to create something that was a play off an everyday look and something you could use to create a day look that could be easily transformed for night. We get so caught up with dramatic looks sometimes that I think having a more attainable option is important.

We discussed my everyday makeup and I told her how much I love neutrals. She immediately recommended the Blushing Nudes Palette by Maybelline. I loved the pretty rose gold hues and for $9.99 I was totally in.

I then said I wanted to find a foundation that would last all day and into the night and she asked about my skin type. I told her I tend to get shiny so I liked things that were mattifying and she recommended Loreal’s Infallible Pro Matte Foundation. This foundation had already been on my radar so I didn’t need much convincing.

For concealer, I wanted to try something new, and I told her about my love for Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind. She said if I liked that I would love Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. That was another thing that had been on my radar so I grabbed that too.

To finish the look, I wanted a wearable, but brighter than my normal, pinky nude lip and I also wanted some sparkle (The most important part, duh!) I had asked her about the Maybelline Color Blur Lipstick and the gold glittery NYX Liquid Crystal Liner, and she agreed they’d be the perfect touch.

I am super excited to create the look with my new products and share it with you! If you guys need help with creating your holiday looks I highly recommend giving the Beauty Concierge at Target a try.
