Chambray + Grey // Fall Cool Tones

chambray

I am currently writing to you from my flat on a gloriously gray London morning. If I wasn’t in the mood for fall before, (I was) I certainly am now! I have a table in the kitchen that looks out over Notting Hill and I could seriously get used to blogging from this view. I have it for two weeks and I am going to cherish every minute! Jet lag had me wide awake at midnight but I forced myself back to sleep and now I am up early to tackle this day. I am beyond excited to be here and to go explore one of my favorite cities, but first (coffee, and then) I wanted to talk about this outfit.

I have always gravitated towards cool tones over warm. Not sure what it is, but I do it with everything, even makeup. I love this combo of chambray with gray denim. Chambray is a neutral and the gray denim mixes things up from a traditional denim on denim look. I dressed up the look with some python embossed pumps and an embellished clutch and as always I saw the opportunity to add a touch of leopard, and I took it! (Pardon the sloppy bangs that were in desperate need of a trim in these photos. I finally got one and they look so much better now!)

Ok I’m off to go on my long awaited date with London! Make sure you follow my adventures on instagram.
