Current Five: Concealers

Collage Concealers 4c

This new series is called ‘Current Five’ instead of favorites, because truth be told my favorites are constantly changing. I am always trying new products and when I find one I like it will likely go into the rotation bumping something else. So instead of talking about what my favorites are, I am talking about what are the current five products in a category, in this case concealers, that are at the top of my rotation. So let’s get to it shall we?

1. Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer – This concealer is amazing. A little goes a long way and it’s best to warm it up on your fingers before applying, but applied correctly and it really is creasless and it lasts all day (and night.) If you are a none believer run to Sephora and get a sample. I promise you won’t regret it!

2. Miracle Skin Transformer Treat and Conceal: I’ve talked about this product before but it’s still in my current five a year later so I’m talking about it again. If you haven’t heard of this brand please get familiar. They are SO good. This concealer looks so natural but conceals, makes you look fresh and awake. It’s a miracle! (Too much?)

3. Bare Minerals: This is my everyday concealer for days when I am running errands or just being low key. I love it because it’s light and creamy but has really great coverage. This is a staple product in my makeup bag.

4. MAC Prolongwear Concealer: This is a classic and it’s still so good. I grab this when I am getting glammed up for a girls night out and I want extra coverage. It never disappoints and a little goes a long way.

5. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser: This is the underdog that ended up kicking butt. I purchased this a few weeks ago not expecting much and ended up being blown away. This concealer is so darn good I’ve been using it everyday since I got it. It’s lightweight, hydrating and is great for highlighting. I also love the felt tip applicator. I would’ve never thought at less than $10 this concealer would be as good as a $20 concealer, but it definitely is!

I am currently testing some new concealers like this one from Cover FX that I am really liking, but I am still in the testing stage. Stay tuned to se my thoughts on that and a few others.

great list! which color do you use for the Maybelline? I use just the neutralizer, and I'm wondering if I should try to match a little closer to my skin tone. I do love how it brightens though!
