Easy French Chic Bathroom Makeover

Back in February I told you guys I was surprised with an unexpected move. As I’m sure you probably know, moves are no fun. Who am I kidding, moves are the worst. But the silver lining is getting to decorate a new space – a blank canvas. So I decided to take lemons and make some lemonade and thus #GLProjectMove was born.

It’s been a long road. Let’s be honest, decorating a new space takes a lot of work. And time. And planning. Did I mention work? Oh and Pinterest…there’s a lot of pinning that goes down. I gave you some sneak peaks of my office which is still a work in progress, but today I am bringing you the bathroom. You might think that it’s a bit anti climactic to start with the bathroom, but it’s the smallest room in the house and therefore (sort of) the easiest.

I wanted to channel a French chic vibe and nothing says French like stripes am I right? The thing about renting, is if you’re going to paint, you usually have to paint it back when you move out which is too much of a hassle. It’s because of this so many renters end up with bland lack luster walls (you know who you are!)

I decided to team up with my friends at Walls Need Love to rectify this issue with their Easy Stripe Wall Decals. They are sold by the roll and are self adhesive, removable and perfect for renters. They come in so many sizes and colors but I went with the 8″ in stone.

I have to say I’m pretty happy with the result. I also added some towels and a rug from Bed Bath & Beyond that compliment the vibe. Most of the decor were things I had, all of the photos I just printed from the web and stuck in frames I had from my old place.

If you want to see clips of the actual process you can scroll down and watch the video and stay tuned for more room makeovers coming soon!
