New Year Hair Goals

I’ve been talking a lot about winter skin and now it’s time to talk about winter hair. The issues are relatively similar…dry, dry, and a little more dry!

I have been trying all kinds of hair products to combat this issue and the search has brought me back to the original Moroccanoil Treatment.  When Moroccanoil first came out, it was the first I had heard about argan oil, but now I feel like everyone knows how awesome it is. But just incase you don’t….here are a few fun facts:

  • With high content of antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamin E, argan oil naturally helps revitalize skin, increase hair’s elasticity and consistently restore shine to dull, lifeless hair.
  • It is a powerful antioxident, UV-protector and free radical neutralizer.
  • You can use argan oil for skin– It hydrates and infuses it with moisture.
  • Argan Oil has been known to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles

So for the new year, I have some new hair goals. The biggest, is to get my hair back to the shiny healthy place it was, before I started doing balayage. In order to achieve that goal, I selected some specific Moroccanoil products.

Morroccan Oil -c-1Balayage is basically when bleach is painted on your hair and focused on the ends. Those of you who have bleached your hair at any point know how damaging it is. My hair was beginning to look burnt at the ends and the split ends had split ends.

I decided to get the original Moroccanoil Treatment, which is great for all hair types and focus this on the bottom half of my hair. It can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. I like to use it on my hair when it’s damp, before heat styling, and in between washes to infuse more hydration. It works as good as I remember!

They say healthy hair starts at the root. While I’m no expert, what I do know is, when I have product build up my hair looks limp and dull. I’ve been looking for a clarifying shampoo that wouldn’t harm my color, and the Moroccanoil Clarifying Shampoo is sulfate free and paraben free. I apply this only to the roots of my hair and I feel like my hair is instantly revitalized.

For some serious RX, I got the Intense Hydrating Mask.  I apply this to the bottom half of my hair in the shower and leave it on for five minutes twice a week.. It hydrates and conditions but combats those split ends by  improving the hair’s texture and elasticity. It adds shine and really makes my hair feel soft.

I wanted to get a bottle of Pure Argan Oil because I can use this on my hair and also my skin and nails. It’s great for when you are traveling and you are trying to cut down on the products you are bringing. This can be used on the face, the body and the hair. I also use it as a cuticle oil.
