Jewel Tones + Animal Prints

Jewel Tones

There I was, standing in front of my closet picking my outfit. I had decided on the jacket, which is such a unique piece. (It was one of those love at first sight moments, the fur, the jewel tones, the silhouette…)

I decided I wanted to have a very simple canvas so the jacket could be the star of the show, so I chose a solid black top and basic denim. I knew this bag was the perfect addition, but then it was onto the shoe. I was perusing my shoe collection, mulling it over when there was a knock at the door. It was Fed Ex (as it often is…#bloggerlife) with a package from a sender I didn’t recognize. I opened it to find these beautiful shoes from Tamar Braxton. (Yes THAT Tamar Braxton.) It felt like fate when I put them on and stepped in front of the mirror. It was as if the fashion Gods were looking down upon me and decided to send these shoes to my door because they were the perfect addition to this look. (Ok, maybe not, but it makes for a good visual though no?) The point being, I am in LOVE with them.

If you notice I am not wearing a single piece of jewelry. It’s rare that I do that, because usually I feel like accessories are key in making an outfit look finished, but here it was unnecessary. The gold chain detail on the bag and the studded straps on the shoes coupled with the fur panels and jewel tones on the jacket, really give the look enough visual interest.
