Can you believe summer’s more than halfway over already? In some ways I feel as though it hasn’t even started! Grad school has kept me super busy, along with some fun collaborations I am working on for The Wear to go Girls.

The weather hasn’t been all that warm by the beach in SoCal, however for some reason September always seems to be our hottest month. In some ways it’s great because it’s like an extension of summer, but in some ways not because I get excited about fall fashion and I can never go there until mid-October. But I am looking forward to fall believe it or not. New beginnings, wiping the slate clean, starting over…new semester at school, Fashion Week, pumpkin spice, chunky knits. Sorry! I got carried away for a minute. It’s something I’m working on – staying in the moment. I find I am often looking to the future and often not fully appreciating what’s going on in the moment. Do you guys do this? Ok, so in this moment, I am finishing up Media Law (10 page research paper-ouch!) battling some (medical related) personal issues (reminds me how strong I am!) and (damn it) looking to the future for the good things that are coming. Ok, so I failed that one….clearly a work in progress. On to the outfit.

These One Teaspoon shorts are the most comfortable pair of shorts I own. The great thing about them is they have a super wide leg opening, which for me is key. I do not have skinny legs and I hate it when you get a muffin top from the opening of the leg on shorts! This pretty pink top is from the UK brand Jigsaw and these pink strappy heels are a favorite from Shoe mint. I wore this to a lunch date with a girlfriend last week. Definitely a casual summer LA outfit.

Well on to the weekend! I am off to work on that paper! I hope you guys have some fun!

xoxo
