JANUARY EDIT

The edit is something new I am doing across different platforms at the end of each month which of course will look different depending on where you are. If you go to my youtube channel, you will find a video breakdown of every single beauty product I tried for the month. On my podcast we’ll delve deeper and it may cover more than one month at a time. Here it will be more of a general overview of not only beauty but lifestyle and home decor as well because I love that stuff too!

Ok…so let’s get into it!

NEW YEAR, NEW GOALS

My plan going into the new year was to set intentions rather than resolutions. Last year the rug was pulled out from under us, but this year I think we are prepared. I want to focus on things I can control – like myself. Self betterment. This is all encompassing from wellness and self care, to finding purpose – living my best damn life and helping you do the same. Being more organized, not procrastinating, staying positive…these are things I can work on pandemic or not.

I did a video this month about some Amazon finds that I’ve been using to help with organization in life and around the house and I even threw in some self care.

BEAUTY

In January I tried a few new foundations, a few winners, one fail (which I go in depth about in my youtube video) I started incorporating 8 hour wear tests on my TIKTOK as a way to give you a quick look as to what my thoughts are. Definitely check out those little snippets as well as try on videos for things like cream blush and skincare products.

Some other gems I found this month included an affordable mascara that performs like a $28 favorite and an eyeshadow palette that has made me love cool tones again.

I also focused on the tried and true with a breakdown of  my favorite affordable foundations,  nude lipsticks and neutral eyeshadow palettes. I’ve really had a focus on soft glam this past month and the palettes Colourpop has been serving is feeding my soul.

HOME

I moved into my new home in early November and it’s taken me some time to get settled with the holidays coming right after, but January was really focused on finishing touches. I posted my first few Instagram posts showing some cute corners and I am really obsessed with how things are coming out. I am planning to do some room tours and a full house tour on youtube coming up but I still just have a few things to do. Home decor is always a work in progress! My decor style in this home focuses on warm neutrals with lots of texture and natural elements. I wanted that RH vibe but with a lot more coziness.

Let me know what things you were loving in the month of January and make sure you are following me on Instagram and TIKTOK for tons more!
