I’ve spoken before about my love affair with Crossroads Trading Co. a buy, sell, trade store located here in LA (they have other locations listed on their website) If you are into recycling for the environment, this is a great way to do it.
This past trip for example, I brought a bag of clothing that I no longer wear but is a little too nice for Goodwill. I opted to trade which gives me 50% of their resale value in credit towards anything in the store (you can also opt for cash which is 35%.) Here’s what I scored:

My mission was color and this yellow top (which looks WAY better on than it does in these photos) was such a great find. I just love the detail!

This white denim skirt from Gap is my way to incorporate the white jean trend in my wardrobe. The top? Well I never met a stripe I didn’t love and I since the red and white version was missing from my wardrobe this was a no brainer!

This J.Crew button down is so flirty and feminine which isn’t my go to aesthetic but is a perfect addition to my closet. It also fits amazing (They don’t call it the Perfect Shirt for nothing!) Oh did I mention it was $4.75? NO JOKE

This was a very monumental purchase. It is my very first maxi dress. I am NOT a maxi girl AT ALL. I love the look on others, but hate it on me…and yet…there was something about this dress that made me try it on. Just goes to show me to never say never…

This striped dress is amaze…(like I said, never met a stripe I didn’t love) It was a mid calf length but since long length is not my thing (I got one maxi, lets not push it) I brought it to the tailor to have it shortened. I can not wait to wear it!

This is another flirty feminine piece but I was drawn to the color and could picture myself wearing it to a backyard bbq, sunday brunch or running errands.

With my credit I only spent $13! Can you believe?! I also opened myself up to things I would ordinarily be drawn to. I am beyond thrilled!

Yes well whether or not I have the balls to wear it out of the house remains to be seen…but it's in my closet, so that's a good step! LOL!!

SO crazy…I just interviewed someone yesterday that works at Crossroads in Costa Mesa. It sounds like an amazing place. I am so not a thrifter but I will check it out. GREAT choices. I'm excited to see you in the maxi dress. I love trying things that are out of the norm. And you may LOVE stripes but they look awful on me

Wow that IS crazy! LOL Crossroads is not just used stuff, it's also new stuff too. That J.Crew top still had the tags! Honestly I wasn't really impressed with the Costa Mesa location. So far Melrose and Santa Monica are my favorites!

haha i'm on you with the maxi dress, it doesn't look right on me but on other girls it looks okay
but then again, that one is sooo pretty! you must try it 
Seriously! Couldn't stand them! But I loved this print and I thought, worst case I would shorten it (it was only $8!) but then once I got it on I was like "well…I kinda like it as is..??." then I thought maybe I was feverish until I got it home and still kinda liked it! Now if I can just wear it out! LOL
