One of the great things about personal style is, there are no rules. Traditional fashion ‘don’ts’ can really be thrown out the window. For me, I love pairing slouchy casual pieces with more structured sophisticated ones because they create balance. Often times I find in doing this, I am more likely to wear things when styled this way.
With my body type, I don’t really gravitate toward slouchy clothing because it adds the illusion of size so when I pair something a bit more fitted, it flatters my body shape.
Also, my lifestyle is very casual so this jacket for example, is a bit too polished for me to wear all the time. But when paired with a graphic tee and destroyed boyfriend jeans, it makes it more casual cool and a look that works for me.
The pumps still keep the look elevated, however I’d also wear this with a flat shoe or sneaker. (Let’s be honest, these days I can find an excuse to wear an on trend sneaker with anything!)
What do you guys think about mixing structured and slouchy?
