Organza + Velvet + Leather

Happy New Year my loves!! Thank you for being patient with me while I battled the flu. It was a nasty one and sometimes when you get sick like that it’s important to step away from work and just let your body recover. It’s hard for me to stay away from you guys so long but I am back and ready to get 2015 started!

2014 was a pretty good year and I accomplished a lot. I got to do some celebrity interviews, I finally took the plunge and cut my bangs, I got rid of some toxins in my life, I traveled to both the UK and the Greek Island of Mykonos and I worked with some amazing brands. I’d say it was a pretty good year. There’s so much more I want to do and I love the feeling of a new year, a fresh start to motivate me toward those goals. I don’t necessarily believe in resolutions, but I do believe in evolution. It’s all about continuing to grow. This year I will complete my Masters degree, travel more, continue to grow with you guys, bring you new and better content and surround myself with positive people. I’d love to hear your goals, leave them in the comments!

Ok so let’s talk about this look. This organza top is pretty amazing. It has black and cream colored panels mixed with organza sheer panels. It’s edgy and fun which is why I mixed it with these velvet drop crotch jeans. I got them a little small so they aren’t as ‘crotchy’ but there is quite a long rise. It’s hard to see in these photos but they are a bit baggier on top and more fitted on the calf. My raspberry leopard bag complimented the color of the jeans, the bows on these pumps added a feminine touch and the leather moto tied the look together.

My bangs are getting really long which is why I’ve begun a little side sweep action. I think it’s time to get a cut!
