T Shirt Diaries: An Afternoon Date

I love short weeks don’t you? The week’s halfway over already and it just started! I hope you all hugged a veteran this weekend, I know I hugged mine. You never truly understand their sacrifice until someone you love goes to war. It’s on another level, and when it happens twice, well you really appreciate a day like Memorial Day…I know I do.

Speaking of my veteran, I wore this casual t shirt and jeans outfit on an afternoon date with him last week for lunch and an mid day stroll. It’s no secret I love a good graphic t shirt and this one is so cheerful, as is this blazer. It’s one of my favorite blazers of all time, the cut, the color, the scrunched sleeves…and it was only $50 at H&M. I got it last year, but I find H&M has the best blazers for the price point. A yellow blazer is such an amazing piece to have because it can really uplift a look, particularly if you have a closet full of neutrals like I do. It goes great with everything from a slinky dress to a simple t shirt and jeans like I’m wearing here.  Miss Me sent over these jeans and I really like hot comfy they are. The wedges I’ve had for years and figured I’d take them out for a spin because, well leopard makes everything’s better. I actually chose these because I thought they’d be comfy for walking around in, but I hadn’t wore them in so long I had forgotten that they really aren’t. Note to self: put these in the short term wear category!

Do you guys keep shoes you can only wear for short periods of time because they are too cute to get rid of?
